Christine, thank you so much for adding the pattern numbers, that was very sweet of you. I had a feeling you might be using the same bathing suit pattern I was thinking of! I just couldn't remember the pattern # but I checked and yep, that's the one I've been wanting to try.

In fact I made a tank shirt from just the top part of it and it looks really cute as a PJ top. I just sort of drew it at more of an angle out to the sides and made it long enough. It fits pretty well. On some dolls, like you said, you need some velcro and sometimes, I'll not turn over one side but turn over the side that laps over.

I haven't checked the revised album with numbers yet but if I was to guess, I'd say the green dress was Simplicity 4654. I got mine out just to see. I'm gonna go recheck the album and see if I guessed right! Thanks again, that was really nice of you to take the time to add the numbers. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Wow, I just looked at the album again. You've got me wanting to try those patterns, lol. I have to see if I have all of them first. I totally missed the guess on the green dress though. It resembles S4654 view F but when I looked closer, the waistline isn't quite as high on the Vogue one. Very cute. I love all your fabric and trim choices too and the rose embellishments on that 2 piece ivory are stunning.

Your Kirsten's dress caught my eye in your other album, and so I was thrilled to see a close-up of that dress. Lovely! I also adored Felicity's dress, and all of the things you made for Kit. You have a good eye for what colors and prints suit your girls. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, the vogue patterns can be intimidating and complicated, but the end product is so nice. The only advice that I have is to read the instructions before you start and feel free to make any adjustments or changes to how you put the pieces together. Sometimes they make it a lot harder than it has to be. Also, some of the dresses need to be lengthened if you want them to come to the doll's knees.

I love collecting fabrics and really take my time picking just the right ones for each project. I love looking at fabric prints and dishes patterns. I can't buy new dishes each year so I buy fabric instead.

I did have the patterns that I recognized and managed to sew my own version of Kit's school dress.

I am so glad that you posted your album today because I wanted to sew, but couldn't decide what to sew today. When I saw Kit's red dress, I knew what I wanted to sew. Best part was that I didn't get interrupted and have to stop. Even my husband noticed her new outfit and commented on it. Something that he rarely does.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Oh my goodness, we could be twins! I would have cupboards full of dishes if I had the money and the space! And my husband says he is sure I am winning the "She who dies with the most fabric wins" race!
